Everywhere you go, chances are you’re talking to someone though a perspex or acrylic screen. This demand has created a global shortage. Industry body the British Plastics Federation said some companies are finding it harder to source the material, and that it is monitoring the situation.
There isn’t enough plastic coming into the country to meet the current demand.
On top of this, the bigger suppliers have their own issues with regard to staff who are self-isolating or recovering. It stands to reason they can’t just immediately double or quadruple their output. It’s like steering a tanker, it takes a long time for them to change direction
If you new noticeboard is slightly delayed, please bear with us as even simple raw materials such as aluminium and metal locks are becoming increasingly scarce.
