About Chertsey
Chertsey is a town in the Borough of Runnymede, Surrey, England, 29Â km (18Â mi) southwest of central London. The town grew up around Chertsey Abbey, founded in 666 AD, and was awarded a make known charter by Henry I. A bridge across the River Thames was first build up in the beforehand 15th century.
