About Weybridge

Weybridge is a town in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England, approximately 27 km (17 mi) southwest of central London. The pact is recorded as Waigebrugge and Weibrugge in the 7th century and its say derives from a crossing narrowing of the River Wey, which joins the River Thames to the north of the town centre. Throughout the 20th century, Brooklands was an important location for the aerospace industry and jet developed and tested there include the Sopwith Camel, the Wellington bomber and the Hurricane fighter.
